What do they do?
They increase the overall height of the Fusion spiral stair.
How do they work?
Extra treads are included in the assembly of the Fusion spiral stair to increase the total number of treads and risers in the stair. Ultimately extra treads increase the overall height of the stair and also change the entry/ exit points (because extra treads will increase the overall rotation). Most people don't need to order extra treads because the standard Fusion spiral stair kit covers most floor to floor heights. However, if you have a particularly high floor to floor height you may need to buy some extra treads.

What do I need to order?
The number of extra treads you will need depends on your floor to floor height. The standard Fusion spiral stair kit comes with 12 treads and a landing plate. The landing plate fits flush with the finished surface of the upper floor. Twelve treads plus the extra step up to the landing makes a total of 13 risers. You can discard some treads or add extra ones depending on your particular needs. The table below details the number of risers needed in relation to the floor to floor height on site. Remember that you get 13 risers in the Fusion spiral stair kit as standard so the most extra treads you can use is two.
| Floor - Floor Range (mm) | No. Treads | Action Required |
|---|---|---|
| 2105 - 2330 | 10 | Discard 3 Treads |
| 2315 - 2565 | 11 | Discard 2 Treads |
| 2525 - 2800 | 12 | Discard 1 Treads |
| 2735 - 3035 | 13 | Nothing, Fusion spiral stair kit |
| 2945 - 3270 | 14 | You need to buy 1 additional tread |
| 3155 - 3505 | 15 | You need to buy 2 additional tread |
E.g. if your floor height is 2980mm you need to order the staircase, plus one additional tread kit.
