What are they?
A box containing the 20 L shaped bars (2 per step) and fixings needed to form a set of riser bars for the Karina space saver stair.
What do they do?
Riser bars are horizontal bars that fit between the treads to reduce the open gap to less than 100mm, for the safety of young children.
How do they fit?
The short ends of the L shaped bars are screwed onto the underside of each tread near the outside edge with the long end pointing in towards the central carriage. Two riser bars are used per tread with one either side of the central carriage. Riser bars can be fitted to the stair after it has been fully installed although it is easier to do so during the main assembly.
What do I get in each kit?
Each kit contains eleven U shaped riser bars and the necessary fixings for the Karina space saving stair.
What do I need to order?
Riser bars are optional. You don't need to buy them to be able to assemble the stair. They are an extra safety feature. If you want riser bars for your stair you need to order one of these riser bar kits for the main stair kit and extra singular riser bars if you have ordered any extra tread kits.
