Prices
All prices on staircasewarehouse.com include VAT where payable and delivery charges using the standard advertised service.
Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on staircasewarehouse.com is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mispriced. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either contact you and ask you whether you wish to continue with the order at the correct price or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.
Prices that are reduced for sales and promotions are only valid for the specified period.
We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers, goods and specifications of goods on staircasewarehouse.com at our discretion at any time before (but not after) we accept your order.
Quotations, Drawings, Illustrations and Graphics
Any quotation we give is on the basis that no contract will exist until we have accepted your order based on the quotation. Any quotation is valid for 30 days only from its date providing that we have not withdrawn it by giving you written notice.
Where we provide a specifically designed drawing, plan, illustration or graphic, you agree to check the accuracy and suitability of it.
Any drawing, plan, illustration or graphic produced by Staircase Warehouse Trading Ltd is, and remains, its property and may not be reproduced in whole or in part without its previous written consent.
Your Order
You can order from Staircase Warehouse either through this website or by placing a verbal order over the phone or by writing to us at our trading address. If you order through the website you will have an opportunity to check and correct any input errors in your order up until the point at which you submit your order by clicking the 'Place order' button on the check out page. If you order over the telephone or in writing then you will be sent an order acknowledgement either by email or by post. In this situation it is your responsibility to check the order confirmation and to inform us of any discrepancies that may have arisen.
All orders made by you through staircasewarehouse.com are subject to acceptance by us. We may choose not to accept your order for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances.
After submitting an order to us we will send you an order acknowledgement email with your order number and details of the goods that you have ordered. Please note this email is an acknowledgement and is not an acceptance of your order.
Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with our returns policy, we accept your order 7 days after the date of order or when the goods are delivered, whichever is earlier.
If your order is for ready made products (such as the Arke and Ehleva kit staircases) you will need to pay for it in full at the time you place it.
If your order is for products that are made for you then we will require that at least a deposit is paid being no less than 50% of the price of the goods at the time the order is made.
Payment
The total cost of your order is the price of the goods and delivery charges as set out in our invoice to you.
Payment can be made by most major credit or debit cards, by bank transfer or by posted cheque in accordance with the payment methods section. Cheque payments need to clear before an order can be processed and therefore will cause a delay in the supply of the goods.
You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment we will not accept your order and we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal.
We are not responsible for your card issuer or bank charging you as a result of our processing of your credit/debit card payment in accordance with your order.
Delivery
All goods will be delivered to the address given to us by you when you place your order. The standard advertised service does not cover addresses that are outside the mainland of the United Kingdom and there are also some parts of the United Kingdom that we do not deliver to. It is your responsibility to check whether delivery to a particular address is available at the time you place your order and to see if a surcharge applies in the case of deliveries outside of the mainland of the United Kingdom.
If we cannot deliver to the address you state in your order we will inform you as soon as possible. You can either elect an alternative delivery address or we will refund or re-credit to you any amount you have paid for the purpose of delivery.
Our deliveries are made to the road side only. It is your responsibility to promptly unload, stack and store the goods when they are delivered.
Any dates we give you for delivery are estimated and we will not be liable to you or to anyone else if there is a delay in delivery or collections however caused.
If you do not accept delivery of the goods when they are ready to be delivered, or if we are unable to deliver on time because you have not provided us with the appropriate instructions, documents, licenses or authorizations, then the goods will be deemed to have been delivered. In such circumstances we reserve the right to charge for all related costs including without limitation storage and insurance.
We do not accept liability for damages, shortages or non-deliveries unless you notify us in writing at the time of delivery.
We only provide proof of delivery confirmations if you request them within 14 days of the date of delivery.
Risk
All goods are at your risk and risk will pass to you when they are delivered or collected.
All goods remain the property of Staircase Warehouse Trading Ltd until we have received full payment for them. We reserve the right to recover the goods until full payment has been received for them.
Returns, Cancellations and Refunds
If your order is for ready made products (such as the Arkè and Ehleva kit staircases) then you have a statutory right under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 to cancel it within 7 days of your receipt of the goods. To exercise your right to cancel you must give us written notice either by fax, post or email using the contact details provided below. You must also return the goods to us at your own expense and they must be unused and still in their original condition (unopened and undamaged).
Refunds due for returned goods will be made within 30 days of the goods being received by us. We will deduct from the amount refunded any costs we incur in returning or delivering them to stock. This amount should not exceed 15% of the value of the goods including VAT.
All refunds will be provided using the same method of payment as your purchase. If your purchase was made using a credit/ debit card the same card must be used for the refund.
You do not have the right to cancel any order which is for goods that have been made for you (such as Genius and Reflex stairs) once production has begun. These products are excluded from the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
Deposits taken for orders of products that are made for you are not refundable except at the discretion of the company and only if written consent is given by a director of the company.
Compliance with Regulations
It is your responsibility to make all necessary arrangements to comply with every applicable statute, bylaw or rule or decision of any competent authority or body, including the obtaining of all necessary licences, permits or other consents which are or may be required in connection with the use of the goods including ensuring that the building structure is able to accept the weight of the equipment to be installed.
You are referred to the Building Regulations in force at the date of the contract. Staircase Warehouse is not responsible for obtaining any building or planning consents or for ensuring the suitability of the goods under any regulations.
If you have doubts, concerns or questions regarding the compliance of your proposed installation you should consult your local Building Control before making a purchase. You do not have the right to cancel or return any goods ordered as a result of your failure to comply with regulations.
Right to Remedy
In the event that you become aware of a breach by Staircase Warehouse of the terms of a contract then you shall notify us as soon as reasonably practicable of such and (if remediable) afford us no less than 30 days following your notification to have the opportunity to remedy such breach.
Warranty

Please read above the above Delivery section for more information. This warranty does not affect any of the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, willful damage, accidental damage or negligence caused by you or any other third party, use other than as recommended by us, failure to follow the instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without our approval.
If the goods develop a defect while under warranty, or if you have any other complaint about the goods, you should notify us in writing.
Extended warranties offered by manufacturers are to be upheld solely by the manufacturer and Staircase Warehouse Trading Ltd is in no way responsible for such warranties being upheld beyond the standard 12 month period described above.
